I had the incredible opportunity to photograph this Armenian wedding in Venice, and it was truly an unforgettable day. We met early in the morning, when the city was just waking up, and the narrow streets were almost empty. This created a unique atmosphere of intimacy and romance. We started with a quiet stroll around Venice, just the couple and me. In the soft morning light, the bridges and canals made a perfect backdrop for our photos. They walked hand in hand, and their happiness shone through in every shot.
After the walk, we boarded an elegant water taxi to travel to the island of San Lazzaro degli Armeni. This moment was filled with anticipation—the shimmering lagoon, the breeze playing with the bride’s veil, and the couple savoring the beauty of the journey.
The wedding ceremony took place in the ancient church of the San Lazzaro Monastery. The setting was steeped in history and deep spirituality. The quiet prayers, the sounds of Armenian liturgical music, and the heartfelt exchange of vows made the ceremony profoundly moving. I aimed to capture every emotion—from pure joy to the quiet tears of happiness.
